So it’s been awhile since I’ve posted an iPhone Friday. I figured I would share some of the photos from my phone that we took during our move from Southern California to Seattle Washington. If you didn’t already know we have officially relocated our business and our lives to the Pacific Northwest! A big move but one that we are very excited about.

We will still be shooting weddings and other photography projects in So Cal so if you want us, feel free to contact us and we’d love to work with you.

Thanks to all of our friends and family for your love and support through such a big change in our lives. We love you all!

So I know the blog posts have been sporadic at best, but it’s not that we haven’t had anything to blog, rather, we have had too many things to blog!
I want to announce 2 MAJOR changes to our lives.
Back in April we had a miscarriage. We were heart broken but trusted that God had a sovereign plan through it all. Here 5 months later we are so happy to say that

WE ARE PREGNANT…again.

The current due date is April 30, 2012.
Thank you so much for your prayers and support! We can’t wait for life with our third little crazy! : )

Item number 2 on the announcement list is also LIFE CHANGING!
Although there’s a long back story to how this all came about, I won’t write a book on this post with all of that. I’ll just say…

WE ARE MOVING TO WASHINGTON!

We’re a couple of Southern Californians born and raised so it’s a bit scary and new and outrageous thinking about moving our family, business, and LIVES so far away. But we are BLOWN AWAY by how the Lord has orchestrated everything.
We can’t wait to serve in leading worship for the youth at Overlake Christian Church in Redmond.
We’re eager to start the adventure of a new state and all the beautiful places to fine tune our photography. (All you Washington brides and grooms, get ready!)

I said I wouldn’t write a book, so feel free to ask us any questions you have and we’ll keep everyone updated on the progress of the move. Here’s a couple of photos from my phone from our trip this past week.

I came across this cool site that allows me to stay connected to friends and family…it’s called Facebook! Apparently it’s a big enough deal that they made a movie about it!

Guest Sign In Engagement Album. Madera Books.

I know it’s been a bit more hit and miss on the blog lately, but bare with me. There are some life changing things hitting our lives! Exciting, scary, and crazy all in one! I’ll share more on those things in the coming weeks and months so follow along.

For today I just wanted to share some images of a recent engagement album we had made for Erin and Joe. You may remember their engagement shoot in a cozy hideaway in Lake Arrowhead, Ca. After seeing the photos the couple decided to do one of my favorite things, get a guest sign in album made!

We did this at our wedding 5+ years ago and recommend it to every couple we meet with. It’s such a great way to use the photos from your engagement shoot, PLUS it gives all your guest a fun album to flip through and a chance to write a little yearbook-esc note.

Kidding of course, but it really is a fun keep sake to look back on and enjoy.
As always, I design all the albums myself and have them put together but the stellar Madera Books! Beautifully constructed and jaw-dropper to look through, you’ll LOVE them!

I know it’s been awhile since I posted an iPhone Friday, but things have been busy this summer. Last week we were at a beach house in Newport with some family. Micaiah and Layla became little sand crabs!

It’s been a few weeks since I posted an iPhone Friday. Now that our front yard is finished and I’m almost caught up with our photoshoots, I thought I’d share a few images from this past week. The first half are some shots of downtown L.A. and Disney Concert Hall. We shot an engagement shoot for a great couple there! I’ll post some images from it by next week. The second half are some from our 4th of July/5 year anniversary trip to Vegas! Our anniversary isn’t until July 16th but we decided to celebrate it a bit early with a couple of friends and head out to Las Vegas for a few days over the 4th. We had a blast, aside from the fact that I was sick to my stomach from day 1! Now I’m feeling better and working hard to catch up. I hope you enjoy the photos and have a great weekend!

I’ve been wanting to post these iPhone shots since I took them some time ago! And now that 31 Bits has posted their own blog with some of my iPhone photos I’m officially released to share these sneak preview-behind the scenes shots of the Palm Springs shoot. You may remember me mention that Jessica had the opportunity to model for an awesome beaded jewelry company called 31 Bits. Our good friends Trever and Summer teamed up with Bits to style and shoot some awesome promo photos for the summer line of jewelry. It was such a fun experience for all of us involved. I pretty much just tagged along and took it all in and watched my gorg wife blow everyones mind with her killer good looks! ; )

Trever posted a few of the images on his blog HERE. And Summer as well shared a couple already HERE. You’ll have to wait until May 31st for the official launch of the summer line in order to see all the amazing photos in action! I hope you all have a relaxing holiday weekend!

iPhone Friday

The late addition or iPhone Friday! I just got home from shooting a fun wedding with my friend Joel. I’m sure I’ll have some photos of that up sometime next week so be sure to check back.

Last week I went camping for a bachelor party for my friend Tim. It was definitely a trip I will never forget. Without going into too much detail I’ll just say it involved a 2 hour 3 mile uphill hike at midnight to get to the camp site. There was some rain involved and muddy slips and some very exhausted young men. I did manage to get a few cool shots, but for the most part I was too worn out to capture all the beauty.
We’ll be shooting Tim and Jessica’s wedding early next month and are very excited about it. Have a great weekend!

What the heck! Where did that week go. I meant to post some photos of a good friends little boy this week, but all of the sudden Friday snuck up on me. I’ll save those photos for Monday! Today my good friend Tim is helping me do some sprinklers and yard work in our front yard. Over the weekend I’ll be camping with Tim and some fun guys for Tim’s bachelor party. We took some engagement photos of Tim and his fiance Jessica last month and will be shooting their wedding next month in the beautiful lavender fields of Beaumont CA!

Today I thought I’d share some of the kiddos. They’re our lives and we love taking photos of them. Most photos end up being with the iPhone because it’s the handiest tool and captures create moments! I hope you all enjoy the weekend!
